Stumble Guys isn’t available for Mac but here we look at some easy ways to play Stumble Guys on a Mac including on the latest Apple Silicon M1 and M2 Macs.

Stumble Guys is a fun version of the Battle Royale line of games and is a multiplayer party knockout game which allows up to 32 players competing online against each other at once.

If you’ve played Fall Guys, then you’ll probably love Stumble Guys which is heavily influenced by Fall Guys gameplay although there are less players playing at once in Stumble Guys.

The aim is to survive each level of tournament chaos until there is only one winner remaining.

Stumble Guys features some crazy challenges and obstacles that make it fun to play against friends, family or other players online.

Is Stumble Guys Available For Mac?

Stumble Guys is available on the Steam gaming platform but only for Windows not macOS. Although the Steam gaming platform is available for Mac, there is no Mac compatible version of Stumble Guys available.

Stumble Guys is also available on the iOS App Store for iPad and iPhone but not on the Mac App Store.

How To Play Stumble Guys On Mac

Even though there is no Mac version of Stumble Guys, there are still ways to play it on a Mac which we’ll look at now.

Here then are all the possible ways of playing Stumble Guys on a Mac in 2022.

1. Install Windows

By far the best way to play the desktop version of Stumble Guys on a Mac is to install Windows on your Mac and then run the Windows version of Stumble Guys on your Mac in Steam.

Although there are various methods of running Windows on a Mac the only way to install Stumble Guys on a Mac in Windows is with a virtual environment like Parallels.

This allows you to run Windows at the same time as macOS so you can switch between the two at any time.

Unlike other methods of running Windows, Parallels also works on the latest Apple Silicon Macs so you can play Stumble Guys on M1 MacBooks and M2 Macs using Parallels too.

Parallels also works with the latest version of macOS Ventura so that you can run Ventura and Windows side-by-side whenever you want.

Parallels will automatically download and install Windows for you and makes the whole setup process very easy.

You can then simply download Stumble Guys via the Windows Steam store which you can then play on your Mac.

Once you’ve installed Stumble Guys on your Mac with Parallels, you may need to change some of the game settings such as the frame rate if you experience lag.

You should be able to play Stumble Guys on your Mac with around 50 frames per second with all presets set to high and 2K resolution.

However, if you experience glitches, try changing the resolution to 1080p with all presets on a medium setting to get a higher frame rate.

If there are other Windows only applications or games apart from Stumble Guys that you want to use or play, we definitely recommend installing Windows on your Mac.

You can download a free trial of Parallels to start installing Stumble Guys on your Mac now.

You can also read more about it in our full Parallels for Mac review.

2. Boot Camp

Boot Camp allows you to install Windows for free on a partition on your hard drive and play Stumble Guys on Intel Macs.

However, this method is less convenient because you can only boot your Mac in either macOS or Windows at one time – you can’t run them both at the same time like with Parallels.

Boot Camp also doesn’t work on the latest M1 and M2 Macs so you can’t use it to play Stumble Guys on Apple Silicon Macs.

However, we often recommend using Boot Camp for gamers because it dedicates all of your Mac’s resources to running games rather than trying to run macOS and Windows at the same time.

Boot Camp is also the only way to play games such as Elden Ring on a Mac because it uses the anti-cheat gaming system Vanguard which will not work in virtual machines like Parallels

You can find full instructions how to install Windows on a Mac with Boot Camp here.

3. Bluestacks

You can play the mobile version of Stumble Guys on a Mac using the Bluestacks emulator.

Bluestacks is a free Android emulator that allows you to run mobile only apps or games on a Mac.

However, it’s important to be aware that Bluestacks will only allow you to play the Android mobile version of Stumble Guys on a Mac.

You can’t play the full Windows version and you can’t save your progress to carry on playing in the Windows version later.

The controls are also very awkward because it’s designed for phones, not playing on a Mac keyboard.

Installing Stumble Guys via Bluestacks also requires a Google account in order to download it from the Google Play store.

How To Play Stumble Guys On M1 & M2 Macs

If you want to play the Windows desktop version of Stumble Guys on your Mac then you’ll need to use Parallels.

However, if you just want to play to mobile version on your Mac, you can play the iOS iPad and iPhone version on Apple Silicon M1/M2 Macs by “sideloading” it into macOS.

The good news is that playing Stumble Guys on an M1 Mac is easy because M1/M2 Macs can run iPad games and apps including the the iOS version of Stumble Guys.

The bad news is that the controls aren’t designed for playing on a desktop computer so the controls for the mobile version don’t work well on a Mac.

Here’s how to play Among Us on an M1/M2 Mac.

  • In the Mac App Store, search for Stumble Guys. You won’t see anything at first until you click on iPad and iPhone apps when the results appear.

  • Once downloaded click on the Play button to run Stumble Guys on your M1/M2 chip Mac.
  • When Stumble Guys appears in your Dock, you can right click on it and select Keep in Dock so that you can just click on anytime you want to play Stumble Guys.

Unfortunately, you can’t use all iOS apps on M1/M2 Macs in this way as developers can choose to exclude iPad and iPhone apps from running on Apple Silicon Macs.

For example, you can’t use the Netflix iOS app on M1/M2 Macs this way (although there are other ways of using Netflix on a Mac.)

However, there is also a workaround to play iPad and iPhone games on M1/M2 Macs that aren’t available via “sideloading”.

Boosteroid is aware of this issue and has issued an apology to users as it is currently trying to upgrade the servers.
