Autodesk has announced the release of AutoCAD 2024 For Mac which now works natively with Apple Silicon M1 and M2 Macs.
AutoCAD is one of the best CAD software for Mac and AutoCAD 2024 has been optimized for both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs, offering up to twice as fast performance compared to AutoCAD 2023 according to Autodesk.

Previously AutoCAD 2023 relied on Rosetta 2 to translate AutoCAD to work on Apple Silicon Macs which resulted in slower performance and lag.
The new AutoCAD 2024 is now much faster because it harnesses the full power of Apple Silicon chips without the Rosetta translation layer in between.
AutoCAD 2024 also features new tools including:
- Markup Import
- Markup Assist
- Smart Blocks Placement
- Trace Updates
