Are There Any Free VPNs For Macs?

There are some VPN providers that provide free VPNs for Macs.

Windscribe offers up to 10GB of surfing data from free but doesn’t offer all of the security and features of the paid version.

ProtonVPN also offers a free plan with unlimited data, but it comes with certain limitations such as fewer server options and reduced speed.

However, free VPNs are generally less secure and slower than paid options. A common trade-off for using the service for free is that your personal data is either exposed or sold on to third parties.

Most of them offer very limited bandwidth which means they stop working typically after 500MB of data has been transferred using them.

Free VPNs also tend to install either toolbars or third-party software on your Mac so our advice is, if you want a reliable VPN for Mac, you’re much better off paying for one.
